Superceptron Limited
Office 20638, 182–184 High Street North
East Ham, London E6 2JA
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Superceptron Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise your rights, contact us at info@superceptron.com.
2. What data we collect and why
We collect personal data only when you submit our free trial request form. The fields are:
- Your name — so we know who we're speaking to
- Work email address — so we can reply to you
- Firm name — to understand your business context
- Typical resume volume (optional) — to prepare for your trial
- Notes about the role (optional) — to hit the ground running
We do not collect payment information, identification documents, or any special category data (as defined under Article 9 UK GDPR).
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following lawful bases set out in Article 6 of the UK GDPR:
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — to respond to your enquiry and operate our business. Our interest in handling your request is proportionate and does not override your privacy rights.
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — if you proceed to use our service, processing is necessary to deliver it.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — where we are required to retain records for tax or regulatory purposes.
4. How we use your data
- To respond to your trial request and discuss your needs
- To deliver the resume screening service if you proceed
- To send service-related communications (e.g. confirming a submission, sharing a shortlist)
- To keep internal business records
We will not use your data for unsolicited marketing, and we will not share or sell it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of third-party services to operate our website and process enquiries:
- Web3Forms — our form submission processor. When you submit the trial request form, your data is transmitted to Web3Forms' servers to deliver it to our inbox. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at web3forms.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts — our website loads fonts from Google's CDN. This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address. We have no control over that data. See Google's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages / hosting provider — our website is hosted via GitHub. Basic server logs (including IP addresses) may be retained by the hosting provider under their own terms.
Beyond the above, we do not transfer your personal data to any other third parties.
6. International transfers
Web3Forms and Google may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, it is subject to appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions) as required by Chapter V of the UK GDPR.
7. How long we keep your data
- Trial enquiries that do not proceed — we retain your details for up to 12 months in case you return, then delete them.
- Active or past clients — we retain records for up to 6 years from the end of our relationship, in line with standard UK business record-keeping requirements.
- Email correspondence — retained for the same periods as above.
When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
Under Articles 15–22 of the UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@superceptron.com. We will respond within one calendar month, as required by Article 12 UK GDPR. There is no charge for exercising your rights.
9. Right to complain
If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority:
Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
Website: ico.org.uk
Helpline: 0303 123 1113
We would always prefer the opportunity to address your concern directly first — please contact us before escalating to the ICO.
10. Cookies
Our website does not use tracking or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party behavioural tracking.
Your browser may store session data as part of normal website operation, but we do not read or store any information from cookies ourselves.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). We limit access to personal data to those who need it to handle your enquiry.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. For material changes, we will notify existing contacts by email.
